An event sub-process is initiated when at any stage of the parent process a certain throwing event is activated. For example, the customer can modify the order at any stage of order processing (Fig. 179).

In this case, the event sub-process for modifying the order is initiated whenever the customer decides to modify the order.
Event sub-processes cannot have incoming or outgoing sequence flows.
