Name data model elements
Get names for objects, columns, and lookups that follow Creatio conventions before you create them, while a name is still easy to change. The coding agent uses the creatio-schema-naming skill of Creatio AI app development toolkit to turn the business meaning of each element into a code and a title. When you create an app, migrate a section, or convert a page to mobile, the agent applies the same naming rules automatically. Use the procedure in this article when you only need names, for example, for a specification or an implementation plan.
The agent applies the following rules:
- Objects use a singular business noun in PascalCase, for example,
ActivityTyperather thanTypeOfActivity. Relation object names join two object names withIn, for example,ContactInAccount. - Columns use PascalCase and prefer one word when the object already gives the context, for example,
Name,Owner,Status, orAmount. The agent usesStatusrather thanState. - Lookup column codes have no
Idsuffix, because Creatio adds the identifier automatically. "GUID" type columns that are not lookups use theIdsuffix, for example,ExternalRecordId. - Titles are short and use sentence case. Longer explanations go to the description.
- Every object gets a primary display column, usually
Name.

Name data model elements
-
Open your coding agent and start a new session.
-
Describe the elements you need to name in business terms. For example:
I need a field that tracks how far a request has progressed:New, In progress, or Done. The agent selects the matching skill automatically. To make sure the agent uses it, you can mention the
creatio-schema-namingskill in your request. -
Review the suggested names. The agent returns a table with the following columns: element, code, title, type, required flag, default value, description, and notes. If the meaning is ambiguous, the agent adds alternatives and the case each one fits.
For example, for the request above, the agent suggests the
RequestStatuslookup object with the "Request status" title and theStatuscolumn with the "Status" title. The column is a required lookup toRequestStatuswith "New" as the default value. -
Choose the alternative that fits your case, or ask the agent to adjust the names.
-
Use the names in your specification, or ask the agent to create the elements in your environment.
As a result, every object, column, and lookup has a code and a title that follow Creatio conventions. Developers, integrations, and report authors who work with the data model later understand it without additional explanations.
