How to add a forecast

To add a new forecast:

1.Click the btn_com_folder_filter.png menu button and select the [New] option.

2.On the opened page, enter following values (Fig. 1):

a.Specify the name of the forecast (for example, “Sales by owner”).

b.Select the time period. In this case, “Month”.

Note

By default, after you select the items of the corresponding units of measure, the forecast will be calculated for the current year. For example, if you select “Year”, the year 2017 will be displayed; if you select “Quarter”, the four quarters of the year 2017 will be displayed; if you select “Month”, the forecast will be calculated for the twelve months of the year 2017.

c.Select the unit of measure to use for forecast calculation. In this case, the forecast will be created by the owner.

3.Click the [Save] button.

Once you saved your settings, the new forecast will be displayed in the section, on a separate tab. You cannot edit the time period and the unit of measure of the forecast you saved.

All blocks of selected periods for the current year and the [Total] block will be displayed in the new forecast by default. Use the horizontal scroll bar to view all blocks. More information about changing forecast views is available in a separate article.
