Creating email templates

Users deal with two types of emails in bpm’online:

  • common email-messages, including notifications. These messages are used in business processes, cases and common correspondence. Bpm’online supports different versions of the same common email template for different languages. Common email templates are stored in the [Email templates] lookup.

  • Marketing bulk emails, available in bpm’online marketing and CRM bundles. Unlike common emails, marketing bulk email templates support dynamic and HTML content, which enables you to personalize your emails for different segments of your bulk email audience. All bulk email information is stored in the [Email] section.

Email templates are created in the Content Designer. It is a WYSIWYG HTML editor that can create content with texts or images, as well as other elements supported by email clients. These elements are grouped in “content blocks” that you can add and arrange on a template page using drag-and-drop. For example, a content block can consist of a piece of text and a button, a table with contact data or an unsubscribe link. The Content Designer comes with a library of ready-to-use content blocks, which you can customize or create your own blocks using the [Content blocks library] lookup.
