How the fields are populated for downloaded emails

Each time an email is downloaded, bpm’online automatically performs initial email processing.

1.The [From] field value is associated with the communication options of contacts and accounts registered in the system. If the match is found, the [Account] and [Contact] fields on the email page will be automatically filled in.

2.If no match is found, the system analyzes the values in the [To], [Cc] and [Bcc] fields. Then, if the match is found, the [Account] and [Contact] fields on the email page will be automatically filled in.

Note

When matching the [To], [CC] and [BCC] fields with contact communication options, any contacts connected with bpm’online user records will be ignored.

3.Bpm’online also verifies the rules for binding emails to other bpm’online objects. For example, if the email subject contains an invoice number, the email will be automatically bound to the corresponding bpm’online invoice. Read more >>>
