The release page consists of the field group that contains general data, and several tabs.
Additional information about the release.
Number | Number of the release. Creatio automatically generates numbers in accordance with a specified pattern. Use the "Release number mask" system setting to customize automatic numbering of releases. This is a non-editable field. |
Title | Name of the release. |
Description | Short description of the release. The list of all requests fulfilled in the current release. |
Status | Current status of the release, for example, “Planned”, “Development” or “Released”. |
Priority | Comparative importance of the release. |
Type | Type of the release, for example, “Major”, “Minor” or “Emergency fixes“. |
The tab contains information about CIs and services involved in the current release.
Configuration items
Configuration items that are either updated within the release or connected to it. It displays information from the [Configuration items] section. The information about releases connected to the CI is displayed on the configuration item page, on the [Releases] detail of the [History] tab.
Once the [Add] button is clicked, the lookup window will open, where you can select one or several CIs that should be connected to the release.
To remove a CI from the detail, select the [Delete] command.
Services
Services that are either updated within the release or connected to it. This detail displays information from the [Services] section. The information about releases connected to the service is displayed on the service page, on the [Releases] detail of the [History] tab.
Once the [New] button is clicked, the lookup window will open, where you can select one or several services that should be connected to the release.
To remove a service from the list, select the [Delete] option.
Team
A list of contacts and accounts that are involved in the release on certain stages.
Stage | Release stage, for example, “Development“ or “Testing“. |
Assignee / Assigned team | One or several employees that are involved in the release. The field lookup contains the list of administration objects: system users and user groups. |
The [Planning and implementation] tab
The tab contains information about the scheduled release date, the estimated working time and the team.
Scheduled release date | Estimated date of the release. |
Estimated working time (hours) | Working time pre-required to complete the release. |
Scheduling
The detail displays all scheduled release stages:
Stage | Release stage, for example, “Development“ or “Testing“. |
Start | Planned date and time for the release stage. |

Activities
Tasks, email messages or calls that are connected to the selected release. It displays information from the [Activities] section. To connect an activity to a release, fill in the [Release] field on the [Connected to] detail of the activity page.
To connect an email to a release, fill in the [Release] field on the [Connected to] detail of the email page.
Changes
Changes connected to the release, for example, the list of changes that were the basis of the release. It displays information from the [Changes] section. To connect a change to the release, fill in the [Release] field of the change page.
The tab contains information about actual release time frame and working time.
Actual time frame
The field group contains actual dates of completing release stages, for example, development, testing, etc.
Scheduled release date | Date when the release was completed. This is a non-editable field which is filled in automatically once the release is assigned the “Released“ status. |
Actual end of development | Date of completing the release stage, for example, the end of development or testing. |

Actual working time
The field group contains actual working time for every stage of the release.

The [Attachments and notes] tab
Detailed information about the release, as well as attachments and links to the web resources related to the release. Read more >>>
Attachments
Use this detail to store files and links related to the release. For example, on this detail, you can add a list of user stories included in the current release, or the link to the release package installation files.
Notes
The detail is used to store additional text information about the release. You can edit and organize your lead notes on the detail. If you switch to another tab of the release page, the information on the [Notes] detail will be saved.
The Feed tab displays the messages from the Feed section that are connected to the current release.
