The [Configuration items] section

The Configuration items section is intended for managing information about the company's configuration items (CI) that must be kept operational to maintain the quality of service delivery. For example, here you can manage your catalogs for furniture, equipment, software, infrastructure items and other resources.

Views

The section has several views:

  • btn_com_list_view.png – list of configuration items. Displays configuration items as a list of records. All list columns are described below in the context of the configuration item page.

  • btn_com_analytics.png – displays charts, numeric indicators and lists used to analyze configuration items. Read more >>> 

The connections between configuration items and services can be visually displayed with the service-resource model.  With this view, you can quickly assess the possible reasons for the failure of an IT infrastructure object. The service-resource model can be called up by clicking the [Display dependencies] button after selecting the list record or in the [Actions] menu on the configuration item
