Personal and Enterprise agents
Every agent you create is either Personal or Enterprise. The choice decides who owns the agent and who can see it, and you make it once, at creation.
The same two scopes apply to skills and knowledge sources, and they work identically there, so this article covers all three. Agents are where you meet the choice first.
The platform stores the Enterprise scope as "corporate," so you may see that word in technical contexts such as an API response.
Personal compared with Enterprise
Aspect | Personal | Enterprise |
|---|---|---|
Who owns it | You. The platform ties the item to your account. | The organization, not a single user. |
Who can see and use it | You, in day-to-day work: the item does not appear to colleagues browsing the same list. Administrators and users whose role includes one of the following permissions can still open it, because personal scope is not a privacy boundary.
| Shared across the organization, subject to role-based access control. |
Who can create it | Users whose role includes Manage personal agents: out of the box, Individual Contributor, Developer, and Administrator. The AI Chat User role cannot create agents or other items, including personal ones. | Users whose role can publish enterprise content: out of the box, Developer and Administrator. The Individual Contributor role cannot hold the permissions this requires, such as Edit agents. |
Typical use | Experiments and drafts. | Shared, production assistants, skills, and sources. |
What the scope affects at runtime
Situation | Behavior |
|---|---|
Attaching a skill owned by someone else | Creatio AI Studio reports that the skill cannot be found or is not available to you. The skill is personal to its owner. |
Attaching an enterprise skill you cannot access | Creatio AI Studio reports that the enterprise skill is not accessible to you. Your role lacks the access the skill requires. |
Binding a personal agent to a channel | A personal agent binds only to private channel types. Creatio AI Studio binds it to the shared Creatio.ai Twin channel at creation, so it is reachable straight away. |
Attaching a personal knowledge source to an enterprise agent | Its owner can do this. The source stays personal and invisible to colleagues, while the enterprise agent answers from it, so an agent the organization relies on depends on one person's content. Recreate the source in the Enterprise scope before the agent goes to production. |
Share a proven item with the organization
Scope is set at creation and cannot be changed afterwards. To move work from personal to shared, create a new item in the Enterprise scope and copy the content across.
Import is not a route to the Enterprise scope: an imported skill is always personal, whatever its source. Export the personal skill to get its files, create an enterprise skill, and rebuild the bundle there. Learn more: Import a skill.
