Migrate dashboards from Classic UI to Freedom UI
This functionality is available for Creatio 8.3.1 and later.
You can transfer your Classic UI dashboards to Freedom UI without rebuilding them manually. The Dashboards migrator app re-creates each dashboard on a Freedom UI page you choose, converts the supported widgets, and copies access rights.
Prerequisites
- The Dashboards migrator app installed in your environment. If you do not have it yet, download it from the Creatio Marketplace.
- A Freedom UI page that already contains a dashboard component to serve as the migration target, for example, the Accounts section list page.
You need permission to the "CanMigrateDashboard" (CanMigrateDashboard code) system operation. Learn more: System operation permissions. Without this permission, you get an access denied message when you open the migration page.
What gets migrated
Creatio migrates the following widget types:
- Chart
- Metric
- Calculated metric
- Gauge
- Full pipeline
- Sales pipeline
- List
- Web page
Creatio skips the following widgets during migration:
- Pivot tables
- Custom modules
- Custom components
If a dashboard contains an unsupported widget, Creatio still migrates the rest of the dashboard and marks it as "Partially migrated."
Migrate the dashboards

to open System Designer. -
Go to the Admin area block → click Dashboards migration from Classic UI to Freedom UI.

Select the Classic UI section whose dashboards to migrate.
Creatio migrates all dashboards from the selected section out of the box.

Click Choose specific dashboards, then clear the checkboxes of the dashboards you do not want to migrate (optional). Use the search bar to find a dashboard by title.

Select the Freedom UI page that contains a dashboard component, typically a list page, such as the Accounts section list page.
If the page contains more than one dashboard component, Creatio shows the Dashboard component lookup. Select the component that must receive the migrated dashboards. If the page contains no dashboard component, Creatio shows a warning. Select a different page instead.

Click Migrate.
Creatio shows a confirmation message that the migration process has started and adds the results to System messages on the notification panel. Creatio runs the migration in the background. You can close the page without waiting for it to finish.

Click the migration message in System messages to open the migration log.
Creatio opens a page that lists each migrated dashboard with its status ("Success," "Partially migrated," "Failed," or "Skipped"). Each entry also includes a message that explains the outcome, for example, which widget Creatio skipped and why.
As a result, Creatio will re-create the selected dashboards on the target Freedom UI page, migrate the supported widgets, and copy access rights. You can check the outcome for each dashboard in the migration log without rebuilding your analytics manually.
