Bulk emails

  • Upon saving an email template in content designer, bpm’online scans the template HTML-markup for any outdated HTML4 tags that are not supported in HTML5. Outdated tags can lead to incorrect display of templates in certain email clients. If there are any outdated tags detected, bpm’online requires to change the template.

  • The case feedback page respects the language specified in user browser. Now it is displayed in the language specified in user browser settings.

  • There is now no need to specify system setting values in the [Sending emails] folder when setting up sending registration and password recovery notifications on self-service portal. The email address specified in the [Customer service email] system setting is used to send password recovery and new user registration notifications on the self-service portal.

  • Added support for multilingual templates detects browser’s selected language and uses it to send a recovery password and new user registration notifications. An administrator of bpm’online can set up localized email template in the [Email templates] lookup.   • Bpm’online will display unsaved changes warning for unsaved emails and feed posts if a user attempts to navigate away from the page before saving the changes.

  • Pop-up summary allows saving of record with Ctrl+S and Ctrl+Enter hot keys.

  • If a new record is added on the [Connected to] detail of an activity, its link is displayed immediately upon saving, there is no need to specify the added record additionally. A record is added via the [Contact], [Lead], [Opportunity], etc. lookup fields by clicking the [New] button.

  • Login required notification is displayed when the current user session expires. It helps to avoid possible loss of work results if a user continues to enter data after session termination.

  • Fixed errors occurring when applying Boolean filters on a record detail.

  • To prevent unauthorized access, an administrator is no longer able to delete contacts with related system-user records without deleting them both. It helps to avoid authorization errors when a user whose contact was deleted from bpm’online tries to log in.

  • Added ability to export data from any details or sections to MS Excel when user has not selected any columns to display.

  • Enabled duplicate search of contacts or accounts on saving when multi-page view is enabled for the section.

  • Approximate location of any address will display after the [Country] fields is selected. Also, the specified country is taken into account and is displayed correctly on the map, if bpm’online contains equal addresses in different countries.

  • You can now make a call, write an email, or switch to the site from account and customer profile by clicking the corresponding link.

Working with lists

  • Section list-view supports the use of Shift and Ctrl buttons to select multiple records. Shift button allows selection based on the first and last row, whereas Ctrl allows unordered selection. Pressing Ctrl will also enable multiple selection and provide you with ability to select the necessary records.

  • When any row(s) is/are selected during export to Excel function, only the selected rows are exported. In this case, only the selected records will be exported to Excel, and not all the records that correspond to section filter conditions.

Working with dashboards

  • The “Export list records” system operation is used to govern the permission to export dashboard data to Excel.

Global search

  • Support for Global search is extended to Linux OS in which case Docker is used to deploy its components. It is now performed in Linux OS. Docker software is used for deploying the global search components. The process has been considerably simplified. Installation process has been significantly simplified, and more information is available in a separate article.

  • We have expanded our capabilities in processing of conflicts during data synchronization. You can cancel the performed changes, open the conflicting record or send a request to provide the necessary permissions to complete synchronization.

  • Enabled Two-factor authentication for mobile application. It enables performing additional verification at user authentication.

  • Mobile applications running on iOS supports authentication via client SSL-certificates. To enable this feature, use the “Use authentication by certificate in mobile application” system setting.

  • Implemented processing of optional meeting participants when synchronizing bpm’online with MS Exchange calendar. After synchronization is finished, all the participants (including optional participants) are displayed on the meeting page of the [Activities] section.

  • Mailbox setup page is finalized. If you need to send emails without email download, disable email download in the email service settings. The [Download emails to bpm’online] block of the mailbox setup page will be non editable. All other settings, such as adding signatures to outbound emails or allowing access for other users, are editable.

  • If a business process raised an error during its execution, the error description will be available in the process log rather than in downloadable file.

  • Relaxed demand for database performance of business processes and case management due to more efficient:

  • Additional data-sources (system objects) and use of their values now available with the [Pre-configured page] element. This significantly accelerates development process. The [Pre-configured page] element can display edit and delete data obtained from new data-sources.

  • Added detection of special characters causing unstable performance of printable forms designed with MS Word in filed names. It enables excluding errors in displaying the names of reports.

  • Expanded ability to display nested tables in printable forms designed with MS Word. Related tables support connections through deep level of nesting. For example, you can now display product records in account’s orders in the account report.

  • Corrected alignment issues in content designer when Align-Left was used instead of user-defined option on some mobile devices.

Section wizard

  • Added ability to configure pop-up summaries to add, view and edit records in any section.

  • When adding a new lookup from section wizard, lookup registration data are automatically linked to the same package that the section wizard is using to save its other data.

  • Significantly shortened time when saving or applying changes configuring Audit Log and/or access permissions.

  • New functionality allows user type change after record has been added. It simplifies transition from portal user to an employee and vice versa.

  • We have fixed the error of installing a package from SVN repository, if it depends on the package that has been renamed in the development environment.

  • Added ability to compile and use of IntelliSense auto-complete when working with Visual Studio tools in file system development.
