Our team at bpm’online is constantly working to deliver advanced capabilities to automate your sales, service, and marketing processes. Here are the new features included in bpm’online version 7.11.3. Benefit from the new functions by updating your application to the latest version using our update guide.
-
The campaign page now has a new [Open campaign designer] button, providing quick access to the campaign diagram setup.
-
We have improved the process of transferring campaign participants to the next step of a campaign. Now, if you set up a delay for moving down the campaign flow in days, the actual delay will be calculated in hours. For example, if you set up a 3-day delay, with execution time “11:00 AM”, then each day at 11 o’clock bpm’online will transfer all participants who have completed the previous step 72 hours ago. This will ensure that all bpm’online users have a universal understanding of when the participants are transferred to the next step, regardless of the time zone.
-
We have fixed an error that occurred when several bulk emails with the “Planned” status were deleted simultaneously.
-
If an opportunity is closed as “lost”, its history will now contain only those stages that were actually completed, as opposed to all case stages. This will ensure a more accurate opportunity analytics. For example: if an opportunity has transitioned to the [Closed lost] stage right from the [Qualification] stage, then the [Stages] detail will show only the [Qualification] and [Closed lost] stages.
-
We have enabled quoting original emails in the service case automatic notifications. This way the customers will have a better overview of the case history for easier evaluation of the quality of service. The quoting is enabled by default for case registration and case feedback request notifications. You can enable quoting for other notifications as well in the [Case notification rule] lookup.
-
The case-related emails from the customer will now be linked to the parent case even when the mail thread continues for cases that have been canceled as duplicates. This way you can safely cancel duplicate cases without losing their email threads. Bpm’online identifies the parent case by its number in the email title and text, as well as by the email thread.
-
You can now use email aliases for automatic case registration. You can also set up a separate case category for emails that are received on an email alias. Use the [List of email addresses for case registration] lookup to specify email aliases.
-
You can now view specific analytic charts and lists in the full screen mode.
-
We have improved the usability of the “List” analytics block:
•Column titles are now displayed.
•Clicking a link in the list now opens the corresponding record on a separate browser tab.
-
You can now configure the columns displayed in the “Display data” mode of charts on record pages.
-
Dynamic folders can now be copied. All filter conditions and access permissions are copied with the corresponding folder as well.
-
We have improved the display of captions on the “Pipeline” charts in the [Dashboards] section. As a result, the charts are displayed better in Safari (MacOS) web browsers.
-
We have updated the column setup interface in the “List” dashboards, making it is even easier to add and rearrange columns.
-
You can now copy record links from the global search results page.
-
The “Chart” dashboard is now properly exported as a list (in the “Display data” mode). Previously, the exported values in the aggregate columns were different from those originally displayed in the list.
-
You can now easily add the [Attachments] detail in any section using the mobile app wizard.
-
The information displayed in the mobile app lists is no longer limited with just two columns. You can now add all critical information to the list. The new mobile app lists will be configured in the Mobile Application Wizard.
-
Clicking a record in the “List” dashboard elements sorted by the primary display column will now open the corresponding record.
-
The sender address is now properly added to the [From] field when you create an email by clicking the button on the action panel of an account or contact page.
-
You can now customize pre-configured pages directly in the process designer. The components for customizing the pre-configured pages now include fields of all types, field blocks, details, analytics and business rules. Pre-configured pages do not require dedicated objects. Once created, a pre-configured page can be used in any number of processes.
-
You can now download a setup log in the [Installed applications] section after an application has been successfully installed. Previously, you could download the log only if errors were encountered during application setup.
-
We have fixed the error that occurred when saving settings in the [Activities] section in the section wizard on the Oracle-based applications.
-
The strings in the [Translation] section are now searched several times faster.
-
We have increased of the speed with which the changes are saved when working with the objects in the object designer, section wizard, when updating the configuration from the repository, as well as when installing packages via the WorkspaceConsole utility. This has become possible due to the increase of the speed with which the database structure is saved.
-
You can now flag an outdated lookup value as “inactive”. Inactive values will not be available for selection in the corresponding lookup fields. All existing records where an inactive lookup value had been previously set will remain unchanged.
-
You can now use the [%APPPOOLIDENTITY%] variable in the ConnectionStrings.config file when specifying the application file paths. The variable corresponds to the name of the Windows user account used by the IIS application pool. This improvement simplifies access to the file system after the corresponding user account has been modified or when deploying new sites with the previous Id.
-
Fixed an error in the [Change log] section, which appeared when users attempted to delete old log data via the [Clear log] action.
-
We have fixed an error that made it possible to add the “All portal users” organizational role only via the [Functional roles] detail on the user page.
-
File content can now be used for development. Images, *.js and *.css files can now be added to packages for use in the custom functions. This enables using standard development approaches and tools without the need to create schemas and edit them in the corresponding designers. The bootstrap files determine the methods of loading the file content, which enables loading content from CDN, for instance. More information on working with the file content will soon be available in the Development Guide.
-
We have added the ability to include the lookup edit page name in the attribute properties when declaring custom lookup model attributes. This has fixed several errors, such as the one with following a link in the [User] field on the employee page.
-
We have fixed an error that appeared during SVN authentication due to the lack of access permissions to the working copy catalog specified in the ConnectionStrings.config file.
