Create a multilingual bulk email
With Creatio, you can deliver bulk emails in multiple languages easily, all within a single, streamlined campaign. This empowers your marketing team to engage a global audience more effectively and personally, driving higher open rates, click-throughs, and conversions.
Also, many countries require communication to be in the local language for compliance with advertising or privacy regulations, for example, GDPR in the EU.
Localize an email
When you create a bulk email, Creatio sets the default language automatically based on the "Default language for bulk email" (BulkEmailDefaultLanguage
code) system setting. Learn more: Manage system settings. Selectable languages are determined by the Customer languages lookup. Learn more: Manage lookup values.
To add more languages to the email:
-
Open the Bulk emails section.
-
Open the relevant bulk email.
-
Click Design content.
-
Point to the language in the Languages field on the top left →
→ Multilingual settings. This opens a window.

Select the relevant languages → Save.
As a result, Creatio will copy the existing template to the added languages to save you time on manual work. Switch among the template languages in the Languages field.
You can also set the email subject for each language version separately. To do this:
- Open the Bulk emails section.
- Open the relevant bulk email.
- Click
next to the Subject field.
- Enter the localized values → Apply.
Send a multilingual email
You can send a test email for each language version. This helps you check how each multilingual version will look like before sending it to your audience.
Creatio follows these rules when you send a multilingual email:
- Contacts that have a preferred language receive the email in that language if a matching template exists.
- Contacts that do not have a preferred language receive the default version.
- Contacts that have a preferred language but do not have a matching template also receive the default version.
Format macros by language
Since Creatio 8.2.3 Energy, Number
and DateTime
macros can be formatted automatically based on the language of the email template. For example, if the email is in "en-US," numbers and dates follow US formatting rules. To enable this behavior for new bulk emails, set the "Format numeric macros based on email language" (FormatNumericMacrosesBasedOnEmailLanguage
code) system setting to "True." Learn more: Manage system settings.
