Connect a CRM per environment
Agents that read or write CRM records reach Creatio through a CRM connection. A connection pairs a target Creatio address with the credentials used to sign in to it, and each workspace environment is mapped to its own connection. This keeps a Sandbox agent on test data while the same agent in Production works against the live instance.
CRM connections live in the Settings section under Administration, on the CRM connections page.
The credentials themselves are stored once in the credentials store and reused by any environment that needs them.
Create the credentials
Skip this step if the credentials already exist in the store.
-
Go to the Settings section under Administration in the navigation panel.
-
Open the Credentials store page.
-
Click New. This opens the "Create credentials" dialog.
-
Fill out the credential fields.
Field
Field value
Name
Name of the credentials, for example, "Production Creatio."
Type
The authentication type: "OAuth" or "Bearer."
Base URL
The address of the service, for example,
https://example.creatio.com. Applies to the "OAuth" type.Token endpoint path (optional)
The path, relative to the base URL, where the credentials request a token. Prefilled with
/connect/token. Applies to the "OAuth" type.Client ID, Secret
The OAuth client identifier and secret. Applies to the "OAuth" type.
Token
The bearer token. Applies to the "Bearer" type.
Scope
Optional OAuth scope, for example, "api offline_access." Further settings sit under Advanced options.
-
Click Create.
As a result, Creatio AI Studio adds the credentials to the store, where any environment can reference them.
Connect an environment
- Go to the Settings section under Administration in the navigation panel.
- Open the CRM connections page.
- Turn off Same connection for all environments to map each environment separately. This displays a table with one row per workspace environment.
- Click Select in the row of the environment to connect, or New to create credentials for it first. This opens the Set Creatio CRM connection dialog.
- Select the credentials in the Credentials field. To register new credentials without leaving the dialog, click Create new credentials.
- Check the Target Creatio address field. It is filled in from the credential's base URL, and you can overwrite it, for example, with
https://your-instance.creatio.com. - Click Save.
As a result, Creatio AI Studio links the connection and the row reports the "Connected" status. An environment with no connection reports "Not configured."
Test the connection
- Open the CRM connections page.
- Click Test in the row of the environment to check.
As a result, Creatio AI Studio probes the instance and reports "Connection OK" or a reason for the failure.
Message | What to check |
|---|---|
Couldn't reach Creatio. Check that the instance is discoverable. | The target address is wrong or the instance is not reachable from Creatio AI Studio. |
Authentication failed. Verify the identity setup, client ID, and secret. | The credentials are wrong or the identity setup of the instance rejects them. |
Share one connection across environments
Use a shared connection when every environment works against the same Creatio instance.
- Open the CRM connections page.
- Turn on Same connection for all environments.
- Confirm the change in the Use one connection for all environments dialog, which appears when your environments currently point at different connections. Click Use this connection.
- Click Select in the Shared connection section, select the credentials, check the target address, and click Save.
As a result, every environment uses the selected connection and Creatio AI Studio reports that all environments now share one connection.
Switching to a shared connection replaces the per-environment mappings. An agent that was pointed at a test instance in Sandbox starts working against the shared instance.
To disconnect an environment, click Clear in its row. Agents running in that environment can no longer reach the CRM.
