Set up Microsoft Word report - general procedure

Use the Microsoft Word reports to generate print-ready documents based on the records of any object. For example:

  • Use reports of the “Contracts” object to print contracts.
  • Use reports of the “Contacts” object to print contact summaries.
  • Use reports of the “Activities” object to print out emails, minutes of meetings, etc.

You can export reports as *.docx files. Use Microsoft guides to protect the exported report files from editing.

To set up a Microsoft Word report as per the standard procedure:

  1. Install Creatio plug-in for Microsoft Word. Learn more: Install Creatio plug-in for Microsoft Word.
  2. Create a new Microsoft Word report in Creatio. Select the object for which the report will be available. Set up a list of Creatio database columns whose data to pull to your report. Learn more: Add a new Microsoft Word report in Creatio.
  3. Set up the report in the Microsoft Word plug-in and upload it in Creatio. Here you can set up the report layout: page layout, text formatting, tables, etc. Learn more: Set up the report in the Microsoft Word plug-in and upload it in Creatio.
  4. Set up the button that has the “Print report” action on the relevant Freedom UI page. Learn more: Set up Button components.
