propertyName: Property name.

Gets property value with the specified name for the instance of the current type.

Syntax

[System.Runtime.CompilerServices.Extension()]
public static System.object GetPropertyValue( 
   System.object source,
   System.string propertyName
)

Parameters

source: Type.
propertyName: Property name.

Return Value

Object that contains the property value.

Exceptions

Exception	Description
ArgumentNullOrEmptyException	If the empty value or `null` value is passed as the propertyName parameter.
InvalidObjectStateException	If the instance of the current type does not contain a property with the name propertyName or the propertyName property is record-only.

Remarks

The extension method for the System.Object class.
