Duplicate searches while adding contacts and accounts

If a duplicate search page opens while saving a new record, it means that the created record already exists in the system. You can go back to editing the record or specify that the records are not duplicates. Read more

A local duplicate search is performed for the following fields while saving a record:

A duplicate search is performed for the [Name], [Also known as], and the [Communication option] details while saving a new account.

A duplicate search is performed for the [Full name], [Mobile phone], [Home phone], [Skype] and the [Email] details while saving a new contact.

A record is considered a duplicate if the value in one of the aforementioned fields of a new record completely matches the values of those fields in the existing record.
