Only licensed users have access to bpm’online functionality.
Licensing in bpm’online covers two general types of operations with licenses: software licensing and distributing the available licenses among the user accounts.
Several types of licenses are used in bpm’online:
Nominal licenses
Nominal licenses provide access to the product for specific users. Licenses of this type are connected to user accounts and cannot be used by other users. A system administrator can redistribute the available licenses among users at any time.
Server licenses
Server licenses provide access to additional system functionality, for example, telephony or opportunities.
Unlike the nominal license, the server license does not require licensing for specific users. In other words, when distributed the license, all bpm’online users that have corresponding permissions will have access to the functionality that is covered by this license.
Sales license
It is essential to get the corresponding server license to keep banking opportunities; specifically, to receive access to the functionality in the [Opportunities] section.
Note
The price of the opportunities license is formed based on the “pay as you go” or “prepaid” approach. According to this approach, the amount of payment depends on the work scope performed by means of the system.
The license calculates the number of opportunities that can be added to the section either automatically or manually. The price of the license depends on the number of the opportunities in the request.
In case the number of the registered opportunities in the system approaches to its limit, the owner will receive a notification on that matter.
When exceeding the limit, the owners will receive notifications to purchase additional opportunities. In this case, adding opportunities to the system will be available during the month.
Note
The group of employees who will receive the notifications is specified in the “Group of users to receive license notifications” system setting.
The rate of the number of purchased and actual opportunities is displayed in the [Dashboards] section on the [Licenses] tab.
