Convert web pages to mobile pages
Give users of the Creatio Mobile app the same sections they work with in the browser, without building mobile pages from scratch. In Creatio, a Freedom UI page for the web and a page for the Mobile app are separate pages. The coding agent builds the mobile version for you using the creatio-mobile-page-conversion skill of Creatio AI app development toolkit.
Use the result as a starting point. The Mobile app has fewer components and a narrower screen than a browser, so you might need to adjust a complex layout in Freedom UI Mobile Designer after the conversion. The agent builds pages for the phone layout. If you use the pages on a tablet, check the result there before you rely on it.
This functionality is generally available as of October 2, 2026.
The conversion includes the following stages:
- Analysis. The agent reads the web pages and determines what each part becomes on mobile.
- Plan. The agent produces one plain-language plan for all requested pages: what moves to mobile as is, what changes, what is left out, and what is left for you.
- Plan approval. You review and approve the plan.
- Construction. The agent creates the mobile pages, validates them, and recreates the page business rules.
- Publishing approval. The agent asks whether to make the pages available to users. You decide on each change separately.
- Report. The agent lists what it created, what it did not transfer, and what is left for you.
The agent only reads the web page and does not change it. After the conversion, the web page and the mobile page are independent: a change to one does not affect the other.
Functionality available for conversion
Some web page elements change during the conversion or stay on the web page.
The following functionality converts:
- Fields, field groups, and lookups.
- Compact profiles of related records, communication options, and the stage progress bar.
- Metric widgets and the timeline.
- Lists. Each row of a mobile list shows the first column as its title and the other columns below it. This applies to the list of a list page and to expanded lists on a form page.
- Checkboxes, which become toggles.
- Tabs and expansion panels with their content. The Feed and Attachments tabs of the mobile page stay last.
- Header buttons, which move to the floating action button menu.
- Folders and quick filters on a list page, attachments on a form page.
- Page business rules that show or hide elements, make them editable or read-only, or make them required or optional. Object business rules already apply to both web and mobile pages.
- Actions the Mobile app supports, such as saving, creating, copying, and deleting records, opening pages and dialogs, running business processes, uploading files, and opening an address on a map. An action that opens a page of another object works only if that object has a mobile page.
The following functionality stays on the web page and requires manual setup on mobile:
- Dashboards, summaries, bulk actions, and other web-only components. For example, a tab that contains the Next steps component converts with only its header. Fill or delete it in Freedom UI Mobile Designer.
- Buttons that run Creatio AI actions and buttons with actions the Mobile app does not support.
- Page business rules that combine AND and OR in one condition.
- Search filters in the header of an expansion panel. A search field elsewhere on the page converts.
- The feed, email, and message composers.
- Custom code of the web page: handlers, validators, and converters.
- Additional data sources. A mobile page works with one data source, so the agent keeps the main one and lists the left-out elements in the report.
Prerequisites
- A coding agent with Creatio AI app development toolkit set up. Learn more: Set up Creatio AI app development toolkit.
- Clio 8.1.0.137 or later. To update Clio, run the
dotnet tool update clio -gcommand. - Access to the Creatio environment that contains the web pages. Learn more: Start working with Creatio AI app development toolkit.
- Web pages built in Freedom UI. Migrate Classic UI pages to Freedom UI before the conversion. Learn more: Migrate a section from Classic UI to Freedom UI.
We recommend converting pages in a development environment first and checking the result before you transfer the pages to production.
Convert pages to mobile
Publishing replaces the current configuration. If the section or the object already has a mobile page, the Mobile app opens the new page instead. Check what users see in the Mobile app before you approve publishing.
-
Open the coding agent that has Creatio AI app development toolkit set up.
-
Send a request that names the section or page you need on mobile. For example:
Convert the Leads section to mobile. The agent proposes the package, mobile workplace, and other settings during the conversion and asks you to choose. If the agent is not sure which page you mean, it asks.
-
Review the plan. Check that the fields users need are on the mobile page, that nothing critical is dropped, and which actions you need to test on a device.
-
Approve the plan or ask the agent to adjust it. The agent updates the plan and shows it again. The agent creates nothing while you adjust the plan.
-
Answer the agent's questions while it builds the mobile pages.
-
Decide whether to publish the pages. The agent asks the following questions:
- Which mobile workplace to add the section to: an existing workplace, a new one, or none.
- Whether the form page becomes the default mobile edit page of the object.
- Whether the pages are used offline. Mobile business rules support fewer conditions and actions offline, so the agent adjusts its recommendations.
If you decline, the mobile pages stay in the package and users do not see them. You can ask the agent to publish the pages later. If only some roles have access to the selected workplace, the agent reports it. Grant access to other roles in the workplace setup.
-
Review the report. The report lists the created pages, transferred and dropped elements, elements moved to the floating action button menu, recreated business rules, and manual steps left for you. The report can differ from the plan because some issues appear only during construction. The report ends with a link to each page in Freedom UI Mobile Designer.
-
Open each page in Freedom UI Mobile Designer using the links from the report.
-
Check the field order, captions, and tabs.
-
Complete the manual steps from the report.
-
Check workplace access for the users who need the section.
-
Open the Creatio Mobile app → synchronize it → open the section → create and edit a test record.
-
Turn off the network on the device if the pages are used offline.
-
Check every business rule offline.
As a result, the section is available in the Creatio Mobile app as a mobile list page and a mobile form page. Header buttons of the web page are in the floating action button menu, which is the round button in the corner of the mobile page.
Prompt examples
The agent understands plain language, so there is no fixed syntax. Name the section or page you need on mobile.
Convert a section
Use this request to convert the list page and form page of a section in one run. The agent shows one plan for both pages.
Convert the Leads section to mobile.
Convert a single page
Use this request when you need only one page on mobile, for example, the form page.
Convert the Leads form page to mobile.
Publish previously converted pages
Use this request when you declined publishing earlier and now want to make the mobile pages available to users.
Publish the mobile pages of the Leads section.
Convert a page again
Use this request to rebuild a mobile page after the web page changes. Mention that the mobile page already exists. Otherwise, the agent can create a duplicate.
Convert the Leads form page to mobile again and update the existing mobile page.
A repeated conversion replaces the changes you made in Freedom UI Mobile Designer. To keep your changes, do not convert the page again. Transfer later web page changes to the mobile page manually instead.
Convert pages of related objects
Use this request when the plan or report says that a button opens a page that does not exist on mobile. For example, the New button of the "Products" list opens nothing until the product object has a mobile page.
Convert the Products form page to mobile.
Adjust the plan
Before you approve the plan, ask the agent to explain or change it. For example:
- "Put Status first in the list row."
- "Save the pages to the
UsrLeadsMobilepackage." - "Keep the Next steps tab out of the mobile page."
Watch for deviations from the process
Clarify the agent's progress if you notice any of the following signs:
- The agent did not state at the start that it would use the
creatio-mobile-page-conversionskill. - The agent created or changed a page before you approved the plan.
- The agent added a section to a workplace or set a default mobile edit page before you approved publishing.
- The agent approved the plan on its own.
- The plan describes the pages in code instead of plain language.
- The report does not list what was not transferred.
Point the agent to the discrepancy so it can correct the error. If the agent keeps deviating from the process, stop it and send the request again in a new session.
Troubleshooting
Issue | Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
The agent stops and says the page is not a Freedom UI page. | The page is built in Classic UI. | Migrate the page to Freedom UI, then convert it. Learn more: Migrate a section from Classic UI to Freedom UI. |
The agent says the package cannot be edited. | Creatio does not allow changing this package on your environment. This often happens with the | Create a new package in the Advanced settings section of the System Designer and reply to the agent with its name. The agent explains which dependencies the package needs. |
The mobile page looks broken or empty in Freedom UI Mobile Designer. | Part of the page was not saved correctly during the conversion. | Ask the agent to convert the page again. |
Rows of a mobile list have no title on the device. | The first column of the web list is a lookup. | Set a text column as the row title in Freedom UI Mobile Designer. |
A tab on the mobile page is empty. | The tab contained a web-only component, for example, Next steps. | Add other components to the tab in Freedom UI Mobile Designer or delete the tab. |
The New or Add button of a list opens nothing. | The object of the list has no mobile page. | Convert a page of that object or hide the button. Learn more: Convert pages of related objects. |
A repeated conversion created another mobile page. | The request did not mention that the mobile page already exists. | Delete the extra page in the Configuration section. Learn more: Convert a page again. |
The section does not appear in the Mobile app. | Publishing was declined, only a form page was converted, or the user has no access to the workplace. | Ask the agent to publish the section, grant the user's role access to the workplace, and synchronize the Mobile app. |
The section is missing after you installed the package on another environment. | The section registration and the workplace are environment data and are not part of the package. | Publish the section on the target environment, for example, by asking the agent. |
Undo a conversion
The conversion does not change the web page, so remove only the mobile result.
- Remove the section from the mobile workplace. If the converted pages replaced an earlier mobile page of the section or object, register the earlier page again.
- Delete the mobile pages from their package in the Configuration section. If you created the package only for the conversion, delete the whole package.
