Test the Marketplace app
Test the Marketplace app in a separate environment, isolated from your development environment. This ensures the app functions properly before you publish it on the Creatio Marketplace. Developing and delivering a Marketplace app follows the same process as a Creatio app.
To test the Marketplace app, complete the following steps.
1. Set up an environment
Set up a separate environment in one of the following ways:
- Cloud: request a second development environment of any base Creatio product using the Creatio Marketplace Console. Select the product that is compatible with your Marketplace app. Instructions: Request the cloud-deployed development environment.
- On-site: deploy a separate environment on your local servers. Instructions: General Creatio deployment procedure (user documentation).
2. Transfer the Marketplace app to the separate environment

Download your Marketplace app from Application Hub. Instructions: Download an app (user documentation).

Install the app from a file. Instructions: Install an app from a file (user documentation).

Test the functionality in the separate environment.
If you find an error:
- Fix it in the development environment.
- Repeat steps 1-2.
As a result, the Marketplace app functionality is tested. This prepares a new app for its first publication or an existing app for an update on Creatio Marketplace. Learn more: Manage Marketplace listings.
