Updates of support policy, terms and conditions, Creatio Marketplace Console
We are implementing several updates to improve the policy and terms and conditions of Creatio Marketplace Console.
Key changes:
-
Support policy.
To help improve our Marketplace Partner Program, we are also introducing a standardized support policy for Marketplace apps. Previously, the support policy was part of the general support terms and was provided as a link. It is now released as a separate document. Learn more: Creatio Marketplace Technical Support Policy.
Keeping your listing published, you automatically agree to the Creatio Marketplace Program and new policies released. This means you are also required to follow the current Creatio Marketplace Technical Support Policy, and to provide technical support in line with its requirements.
These changes take effect in September 2024. The new support terms for the published listings will be automatically updated by the end of September 2024.
-
Terms and conditions.
We updated the default terms and conditions offered by Creatio Marketplace. Learn more: Creatio Marketplace Application Terms and Conditions.
The new version of the Creatio Marketplace Application Terms and Conditions now aligns with the best, most up to date standards in the SaaS industry, covers liability and warranties, termination, and distributes relationships between the Marketplace developer, company, and customer. No action is required on your part.
If you disagree with the updated default terms and conditions, you can use your own terms and conditions that comply with the law and policies of your company and update your listings accordingly.
-
Pricing section.
We updated the Pricing section of the revision page in the Creatio Marketplace Console in order to simplify pricing management.
- For Marketplace listings with a single regular price, you no longer need to specify a pricing name. The listing page will only display the price.
- For Marketplace listings with multiple pricing options, you can now focus on marketing pricing names. Do not use the listing name or the type of deployment in the pricing names.
-
Licensed products tab.
We are introducing a new Licensed products tab on the listing page in the Creatio Marketplace Console. This tab displays licensed products only for published Marketplace listings. The licensed product name matches the official license name that is used in commercial proposals, client contracts, and other legal documents.
Overhauled rating and review system
We are implementing several updates to our review system on Creatio Marketplace. Users used to leave feedback anonymously, and only Marketplace app developers had access to the feedback. In the future, due to new regulations to ensure the authenticity of our reviews, this process will be transparent and controlled. Only verified users, i. e., users who are currently using the Marketplace app or used it within the previous twelve months, will be able to leave reviews. This new system is designed to improve the visibility of reviews and let developers interact directly, thereby increasing transparency and building trust within our marketplace.
Key changes:
- Public Accessibility. All reviews will now be publicly available on the Reviews tab of the listing page, encouraging the active sharing of insights and experiences.
- Review Guidelines Update. Follow our updated guidelines to access and read reviews.
- Ratings. Only verified user ratings will be included in the overall rating of the Marketplace app, providing a more accurate reflection of recent user experiences and feedback.
These changes take effect in May, 2024. We believe these changes will provide fair conditions for both users and developers. Learn more about updated rating and review system: Developer Guide: Ratings and Reviews.
Engage your users. We encourage you to actively involve users of your Marketplace app in the evaluation process. This involvement is vital to increasing your app awareness and obtaining valuable feedback.
Develop a new Marketplace app in Freedom UI
Due to evolution of the Creatio platform, we have introduced new requirements for developing Marketplace apps in Freedom UI. Learn more: Requirements for Marketplace app.
Developers must create new Marketplace apps in Freedom UI. However, Freedom UI sections can include Classic UI section counterparts.
- New customers are expected to use the Freedom UI shell with Freedom UI pages.
- Existing Creatio users that have Classic UI shell are expected to use both Classic UI and Freedom UI pages.
These changes take effect on May 1, 2024. All existing listings exempt from migration to Freedom UI will be marked with a special label on the Creatio Marketplace, and no new Classic UI only listings will be published.
If your Marketplace app is based on Classic UI sections, we recommend migrating your app to Freedom UI to meet the new requirements.
